Pay.UK moves to the next phase of delivery for the New Payments Architecture programme

Our New Payments Architecture (NPA) programme has successfully passed a key milestone on its journey to modernise the UK’s retail payments infrastructure.

We have now satisfied all of the requirements needed to issue our Request for Proposal (RfP) to the NPA bidders and have just received our vendor responses, in alignment with our programme plan.

Our procurement approach is a competitive process to identify and select the supplier that is best equipped to deliver the payments infrastructure required by our NPA programme.

David Pitt, CEO of Pay.UK said:

Receiving our vendor responses is a significant milestone for our NPA programme and is the result of a substantial amount of hard work undertaken by our team over the past twelve months. We are now entering an exciting phase, working closely with our prospective vendors to find the right technical solution to deliver the future of payments for the UK industry.

We can now progress to the next phase of delivery; the ‘vendor selection’ stage, when we will undertake an evaluation exercise to assess whether a prospective vendor's solution meets the needs of the NPA and delivers on our customers’ requirements.
